Google Translate is Life
Sound smart by speaking in a different language. Impress your friends by simply translating a word or phrase into some other language and slipping it into everyday conversation. When your co-conversationers ask what in the world you just said, casually explain that it means this in this language. You'll sound smart and well-educated.
Be grammatically correct. If you've got a project due in French, Spanish or Elvish, no sweat, Google translate is actually pretty smart. I'm not saying it will, without fail, be exactly and utterly perfect every single time you use it but it sure is helpful by giving you different suggestions and all that. (Something to note is that I'm very sure that they don't offer translations for the Elf language yet. Or that it's taught in school. But you never know so I just kind of threw that in there.)
Play the Translating Game. If you have never tried this out, you don't know what you're missing. Basically, what you do is translate a word or sentence into a random other language, then translate whatever you got from that into another language and so on and so forth. By the time you go back to English, it will be completely different and quite hilarious.
For example, I translated "I have two cats, named Oreo and Gingersnap, who like to chase balls of fluff around the house and are super crazy" to Japanese, got a whole bunch of Japanese characters and, when I translated it back to English, I got "My name is super crazy like a ball of fluff to chase around the house and Gingersnap Oreos have two cats." Crazy, right?You can do even more languages to mess it up even more.

They don't know where it's coming from and it isn't a voice they recognize. It's really funny to watch their reactions! The only downside is that there is a limit to the amount of words you can make it say. But you can just feed the voice short sentences and then the sky's the limit!

Deja Vu Question
I have got a burning question that needs answering!
So my friend and I had a little disagreement over what "experiencing deja vu" actually is. We both had different ideas and they're both pretty valid so now I am just confused and that is not a happy place to be.
Is the correct version of deja vu:
1) It's when you've actually had a similar situation happen to you twice and it feels like it's the first one happening all over again during the second time.
2) It's just your brain playing tricks on you where you think the situation you're in at that moment has already happened down to the smallest of the small details and you are utterly convinced that everything happen the exact same way but in reality it's just you making it up.
3) Something entirely different that you will helpfully enlighten me on in the comments.
Anything you guys say would be very much appreciated!

Top 10 Favourite Smells
Warning: some may be a little weird.
1. Rain.
2. Clean sheets.
3. Lightly toasted marshmallows.
4. Sharpie.
5. Campfire.
6. Vanilla.
7. Citrus.
8. Unpolluted air.
9. Grass.
10. Purell.
I wonder what would happen if I came across a campfire in unpolluted air where there was grass and it had just rained and there were people lightly toasting marshmallows to eat with some vanilla and citrus after having done their laundry, colour with Sharpie and sanitized their hands.

Missing: Toothepaste
Just now, a catastrophe struck.
We ran out of toothpaste.
Does that even happen in this day and age? We normally have a drawer absolutely stacked with extra toothpaste and then all the members of our family have their own tube. I guess we were all running out at the same time and didn't think that there wasn't any toothpaste in the replenishing drawer of destiny so we continued along our merry way of usage of toothpaste and ran out.
Like, if you had a toothpaste detector, you would not find a single drop of toothpaste EXCEPT for this random half finished tester biodegradable toothpaste I discovered just sitting under the sink cabinet. It pretty much saved the day until we could get to a store and buy a buttload of toothpaste slash like 4 tubes.
This is my story.
I guess the moral is to know the true value of toothpaste before it's too late.

Twilight Grocery Shopping
Last night I commented to my mother how we needed some items of food for me to properly pack my lunch the next day. She absentmindedly told me to get some money and walk to the grocery store for all of it. "This is totally normal. I help around the house with activities such as grocery shopping too." you may say. The thing is, this was at 9:30 at night. I don't think she was fully awake or else she would have made me wait until tomorrow afternoon but I didn't want to have a lame lunch so I grabbed my sister and we were out the door.
The grocery store is a short 7 minute walk from our house and we amused ourselves by being dressed in our pyjamas and singing along to my sister's ipod.
Please note that she was the one who had the earphones in. I was just singing from what I could get from her singing so I was usually a beat off or didn't know where we were since she was mumbling the melody due to LACK of MEMORIZATION SKILLZ. We were listening to the silly song Bellybutton from VeggieTales and when it got to the part where the caterpillar raps, I completely aced it. We were a sight to behold, skipping through a parking lot rapping about "umbilical equivocals".
Anyways, we got the groceries and went along our merry way, all the while probably getting weird looks from the adults who were also there because since when do two teenage girls go to the store at nighttime to buy healthy stuff like carrots. (Well, we also bought ice cream but that is beside the point.) No one else was talking but that didn't stop us from carrying on our conversation about how non-2012 a Chicken Soup for the Soul book cover looked.
And that was the extent of our close-to-midnight adventure. I think we should do it more often.It was the right time of night that everything was slightly silly and we weren't tired enough to be zombies.

Deuce signs up to serve in the summer patrols—those who make sure the planters can work the fields without danger. It should be routine, but things have been changing on the surface, just as they did below ground. The Freaks have grown smarter. They’re watching. Waiting. Planning. The monsters don’t intend to let Salvation survive, and it may take a girl like Deuce to turn back the tide.
Regarding the plot, I was a little sad for Deuce and Fade and everyone that things weren't calm for a long while before the storyline got more interesting but what kind of book would that have been.
Regarding the characters, I just love Deuce so much. I am her, pretty much. Minus the lack of knowledge surrounding normal human things and the fighting ability. But her determination to prove herself capable of anything a guy can do and to not be seen as weak is an attribute I have as well. I hate talking about feelings and things like that and don't do it often if I can help it.
Regarding the love triangle, I am kind of glad it is less of a thing than it could be. Deuce makes her choice and though she doubts herself, she's not one of those wishy-washy girls that can't decide between these two boys that normally she doesn't even deserve. (Except Deuce does deserve amazing guys.)
Regarding the fact that it is a second book and doesn't suck, I am pleasantly surprised! Even Insurgent didn't really meet my expectations and succumbed itself to second book syndrome but Outpost steered pretty clear of it! At the beginning, Deuce and Fade were a little distant and that was kind of annoying since authors tend to make the love interest not hang out as much because of some HUGE misunderstanding but they resolved their differences soon enough that I wasn't too put off. And the book did have some content as well, it wasn't just a huge lead-up to the third and final book; actual things happened. So I am pleased.
I really recommend this series! It deserves all the recognition of all the hot and popular books of the moment. And do tell me if you were ahead of the game and already know about this book or even if I have introduced you to something that you love/hate!

Currently...
...writing with an on screen keyboard.
And it's HARD I TELL YOU.
The keyboard of this laptop decided it wanted a day off and didn't tell me. Luckily I am a computer genius slash I discovered this by accident but there is the possibility to have a keyboard on the screen that you can click the letters with your mouse.
Although it's useful if you need to type and your keyboard is being difficult, it takes a painstakingly long time. I don't even know how I managed this.

The results are in! I put a poll on the side bar asking what people's favourite season was and left it there for the duration of November.
Only 7 people voted. Whatever, at least they did. Hopefully the numbers will increase as time goes on!
I have to say, I am extremely shocked with the results. They were:
Spring: 0
Summer: 0
Autumn: 3
Winter: 4
You can't look at this and tell me you're not also surprised. I expected the autumn votes. Even though I am not into fall at all, with all the orange and cinnamon and pumpkins and layers of clothing and dying leaves and coldness, lots of other people are.
But winter? And enough votes that it actually wins? Did NOT see that coming. I expected spring and summer to be the more popular ones because the weather is actually nice out. Yes, winter brings certain winter activities but I didn't think it outweighed all the perks of summer.
I never cease to be amazed.
As for my favourite season, it's spring. Could be because I was born in it but seriously, all the plants are coming back to life, the weather is warming up, school is finishing up and everything just feels happier.
